See the new billboard on the bypass just beyond the Life Worship Center, 1604 Golden Springs Rd, Anniston, AL 36207. You'll see it facing the southbound lane. It looks SPECTACULAR any time of day or night!

The message is clear and accurate. STRONG. Although many of us are still shocked by Trump's election, we are regaining our balance and moving ahead with determination. The message will change over the course of the next three months -and highlight different problems being inflicted on all of the people by the current administration.

Many people do not realize that the Calhoun County Democrats get no financial support from the State party or the DNC. As far as we know, no counties in Alabama receive any assistance. A generous benefactor bought the land for our headquarters and built the building, giving us a permanent home! All costs for our headquarters, such as property taxes, insurance, utilities, maintenance, repairs, down to supplies like toilet paper and paperclips, are funded entirely by member donations. We keep it up, just like you do your home or business.

We had two billboards leading up to the 2020 elections - this one and one in Jacksonville.

CalCoDems members funded them. Saying all that to say - we appreciate any donations to help with the cost of the billboards. We intend to keep the billboard for three months - one way or the other. Oh! Did I say that someone in the community stepped up and paid for this billboard for the first month? We were so surprised and appreciative for the donation!

If you haven't visited the HQ yet, it's located at 812 Noble Street on the corner of Noble and Hwy 202. It is currently open on Wednesdays from 10 am to 4 pm. Hours will be expanded as needed and we'll open more days as the 2026 elections approach. Feel free to drop by for a tour and a visit. We will make fresh coffee and pop some popcorn! We meet on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m., starting with a 'pitch in' dinner followed by our guest speaker. Join us!

Although we don't plan to spam anyone, we will be posting blogs and sending emails more frequently than usual due to the unprecedented and dangerous nature of current times. We need to stay 'connected.'
