I’ve been trying to put my feelings and concerns in to words. Words that are based on facts rather than just emotions. Words that hopefully others will read and strongly consider and not just ignore them because they view me as one that goes against their politics. It is no secret that I did not vote for Trump and disagree with most of what he does, however, many people I know did vote for him. The vast majority of these people I know to be good people who care about others. I know they voted for him not because they agree with everything he says/does, but because they believed he could deliver on an issue important to them. Or maybe they just believed he would be better for their wallet.
I don’t know why some people feel that after they vote for someone, they have to defend them and support every action they make. I believe that if your candidate wins, you have an even stronger reason to call them out when they are wrong and demand they do better. So, I am asking for anyone I know that voted for Trump to please write to him, your senators, and your representative about any or all of the following important concerns. You may not agree that all of the issues I am referencing below are major concerns, but if even one concerns you, I urge you to act now. If at first these don’t concern you, ask yourself if you would be concerned if these actions were being taken by the democratic party. If the answer is yes, then it is a threat to our nation.

Trump has ordered that we should do away with birthright citizenship.
This is guaranteed in the 14th Amendment. I don’t understand how you can vow to uphold the constitution and then threaten to undo it.
Trump’s war on illegal immigrants is not just affecting illegal immigrants:
-Spanish speaking American citizens are being dertained by ICE officials
-Navajo Native Americans have been detained.
-Job holding asylum seeking immigrants with 5 year work permits are being pulled out of their place or worship and detained
As a veterinarian, I find it very disturbing that the CDC and NIH have not been allowed to release important information to healthcare officials.
Trump is dismantling USAID by executive action. These funds were appropriated by Congress. Trump does not have the authority to do this. This isn’t even getting in to the morality of this issue.
Trump is attempting to shut down the department of education.
A state department hire of Trump’s believes that “competent white men” must be in charge, not women or minorities.
Elon Musk has not gone through senate confirmations but now has access to sensitive treasury information.
House Resolution 59 was introduced saying that Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde’s message was distorted and not advocating the full counsel of biblical teaching. So apparently congress has time on their hands to condemn a Episcopalian bishop preaching the gospel instead of taking care of America.

I can go on and on with these concerns. I hope you will make your voice heard to your elected officials that this is not appropriate and not good for the USA. These issues should not even be part of partisan politics, they should have broad bipartisan agreement. Anonymous
