Calhoun County Democrat's September 16th meeting will be via ZOOM and our GUEST SPEAKER will be Historic Hobson City’s Mayor – Alberta McCrory!

The Calhoun County Democrats are pleased to announce the September speaker as being the Honorable Alberta McCrory, Mayor of Hobson City. Ms McCrory was first elected in 2008 and has worked tirelessly for the past thirteen years keeping Hobson City involved and relevant in today’s history. Hobson City has the historic distinction as Alabama’s first official Black town; however, Hobson City isn’t much different from many other Alabama small towns, but its founding and history make it unique. Mayor McCrory will share this information along with her challenges and accomplishments in all areas of her leadership. Calhoun County Democrats are pleased to claim Mayor McCrory as one of us.
