CalCoDem COVID Vaccine Site a Success!

That's right! Calhoun County Democrats partnered with Regional Medical Center and hosted a very successful COVID vaccination site at HQ on Wednesday, August 18, from 3 til 6 pm.

Thirty five people came for the vaccine and each of them received a 'goodie' bag containing a mask, hand sanitizer and snacks provided by CalCoDems. RMC donated 'koozies', pens and snacks as well. Twelve of the 35 people receiving vaccinations won cash prizes totaling $1,000.00 in the drawing held immediately after the event. Winning tickets/names from those vaccinated were drawn by the wonderful nurses who administered the vaccine. Winners were phoned immediately and received the good news to pick up their cash the following day! Two people walked away with $200 cash, two with $100 and eight with $50 for a total giveaway of $1,000.00 cash.

Everyone involved said the program was a win-win situation! And..... the best reason to get the vaccine was - and still is - to help protect those you love and those who love and depend on you!
